Fire and evacuation

The complex is equipped with a fire alarm system. The flats are also equipped with smoke detectors, a hand extinguisher and a fire blanket. There is also a hand extinguisher in the corridor by the lift on each floor.

Fire in the flat
When the smoke detector in the apartment is activated, the evacuation alarm in the apartment is activated. No automatic transmission to the fire brigade takes place. In case of fire:

  • Stay calm, think about your own safety and trace the cause of the report.*
  • Alarmeer de brandweer via het alarmnummer 112
  • Close windows and doors
  • Try to extinguish a small starting fire
  • Leave the building via the designated escape signs
  • Go to the assembly area in front of the building **
  • Follow the instructions of the fire brigade

* In the event of unwanted activation of a smoke alarm in the flat, it is important to ventilate properly. The evacuation alarm is then automatically deactivated.

Fire in general corridor and/or floor flats
On activation of a smoke detector in the general corridor, the living floor activates the evacuation system in the 3 flats opening onto this corridor. In this case, stay calm, alert the fire brigade via the emergency number 112 and close windows and doors. Leave the flat and go via the escape signs to the assembly point in front of the building **. Follow the instructions of the fire brigade here.

Fire in the car park and/or common traffic areas
Upon activation of a smoke detector in the car park or common traffic areas, automatic transmission to the Private Alarm Centre (PAC) takes place and the evacuation alarm system is activated throughout the tower. In this case, stay calm and go via the escape signs to the assembly point in front of the building **. Follow the instructions of the fire brigade here.

** In case of extremely high water, if the elevated walkway becomes flooded, proceed via the car park to the assembly area at the car park entrances.
